"Swiss cheese integrity" is the most accurate description I've heard in a while. I hope people with influence like Damion Lee and Steve Kerr...and JLL :)... will continue to speak out. Also, side note here, but it seems pertinent to remind Savannah residents to STOP leaving guns in unlocked vehicles!!
Sometimes it's just forgetfulness (not being a responsible gun owner). In late December of last year, SPD reported 169 guns stolen out of vehicles. Those vehicles were unlocked in 130 cases. It's another bad cycle, similar to the cycle you posted by Josephine in your article. Purchase gun for protection > Leave gun in unlocked vehicle > Criminal steals gun from unlocked vehicle > Criminal uses gun to commit crime > Violent crime increases in Savannah > Residents purchase more guns for protection. How many crimes could have been prevented if those 130 guns hadn't fallen into the wrong hands so easily?
This is excellent and so very spot on. In this terrible moment where I haven’t found the words, you did it perfectly. This shits gotta stop. It is a choice.

Why would someone do that?!?

You have expressed my outrage much better than I ever could have.

Right on!
That pretty much sums it up.
