Does anyone want to share custody of a loaf of Capt. John Derst Bread? I'm afraid I will make too many sandwiches if I have the full loaf to work with.

See if it lasts as long as a Rubi's almost 16 year old Patty :-)

3 things: I need a serrated knife bc I’m sure my knives are rarely sharp enough to ensure I don’t lose too much juice during prep. Absolutely always hellmans for me but I will eat any mayo on tomato u hand me, delighted to. Last, plz give me a proper plate bc again I refuse to lose any juices. The paper plate will soak up the drips from my palm, & I need to slurp the last drops of salted tomato mayo once I’m done or at least mop them up w that last corner of bread❤️

When I lived in Atlanta, my neighbor, who was from Savannah, would come back with full grocery bags of Derst's "Good Old Fashioned Bread" and I didn't understand. Until I moved down here and discovered the magic.

And now I have to get over to Dempsey's Farm on St. Helena to pick some tomatoes. Dammit.
