Jessica, not all heroes wear capes. You are a godsend to our family (because article + caring member of community + donuts and long hang on a Sunday morning!). Thank you for hearing us and sharing our story. Mango loves you.
I have been horrified by the vitriol lobbed at my friend Summer and her sweet family. I don’t live in Ardsley but I am on that page and it’s taken everything in my soul not to jump on some of the miscreants who think they know all the answers, who keep telling posters to “file a report” or worse “call animal control.” GOD HELP US!!! I agree that it would be a travesty if Mango gets hurt while he is on the prowl but to be hateful and nasty and on his owners is just plain UGLY! And you know who don’t like ugly, right?!?!
I love the investigative analysis of the number of residents vs the group members, as well as the boundaries for the neighborhood. A very entertaining and informative post —Mango remains the appropriate star.
People suck & I'm glad I don’t hv access to that group. I also can’t stand people letting their dogs roam the neighborhood unleashed & pooping their poo in my yard which I may pull a weed & find under my nails. My response is shouting, w hands raised to the gods, WHYYYYY?! This clearly isn’t the issue w Mango tho, & I wish them all the best. Just as any good actor should, these great pet parents need to stay away from what the critics write (& save their sanity if possible). Theyr usually wrong. Also I love the name Mango.
I saw both you and Summer at the Savannah Slithering parade on Saturday evening and was delighted to learn you were interviewing Summer re: Mango the following morning! I knew the great Jessica Leigh Lebos would do the story justice and with good humor and care. Good on Mango Hitch and good on you!
So, Mango is a wanderer… yet he knows there’s a home for him, where he’ll be fed and appreciated… as a long time Reiki Master/Teacher, I know there’s a reason for him to wander… physically or emotionally… it would be great if the owners would get in contact with Sue Finkle… she’s great with animals! ♥️♥️♥️
